"A covenant, in its most general sense, is a solemn promise to engage in or refrain from a specified action.

More specifically, a covenant, in contrast to a contract, is a one-way agreement whereby the covenanter is the only party bound by the promise. A covenant may have conditions and prerequisites that qualify the undertaking, including the actions of second or third parties, but there is no inherent agreement by such other parties to fulfill those requirements. Amy Leonard

I found these images on a fellow blogger's page while looking for the work of Felieke Van Der Leest. Amy Leonards work is delicate and beautiful, reminds me a bit of the Brothers Cohen - specifically the video for the Street of Crocodiles (Bruno Shultz). I will look to see if this artist has her own site at a later date.

Some photo reference I used in a piece I'm working on. I downloaded these from the internet before I started this blog, so I don't remember exactly were they came from. I'm still working on that piece, but hope to have it completed by the start of 2009. *fingers crossed*

Jon Rappleye

I can across this artist in a promotional brochure for an artist center, if I remember correctly, was in Tacoma or maybe Portland. I was only able to find a few candid images of his work, and not sure if he has a website. Nevertheless, very interesting work with a nice combination of negative space, rendered and line work. Look forward to seeing more work by this artist in the future!

Kim Parkhurst

An amazing artist I happened across on Flikr, she works both in 2D and 3D which the greatest of ease. Her plush sculptures are so eloquently rendered, stitched with such intention <3
